Overview

One of our clients, a successful power & energy cooperative, are growing their finance team. Based out of their HQ in Vinita, Oklahoma, this role ensures accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective support across billing, audits, and financial processes.

Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting schedules.
• Complete account reconciliations and maintain sub-ledgers.
• Assist with accounts payable, billing, revenue/expense cycle activities, and cash management.
• Maintain records related to fixed assets and assist with tax and compliance reporting.
• Compile and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Contribute to monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Support short- and long-term financing processes as needed.
• Utilize accounting systems and Microsoft Office for data entry, reporting, and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance. (Experience in public accounting or the electric utility industry may be considered in lieu of education.)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Dynamics BC is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
