• Bachelor s Degree or higher in Accounting (preferred) or Finance (acceptable with accounting experience)


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an accounting role; healthcare organization experience is a plus


• Hands on experience with:
  
  
  
  • Journal entry preparation and posting
  
  
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  
  
  • Bank reconciliations
  
  
  • Full Month-end close
  
  
  
  


• Additional skills:
  
  
  
  • Researching discrepancies
  
  
  • Analysis of results to budget and trend
  
  
  • Inter-company account balancing and reconciliation
  
  
  • Understanding financial implications of contracts
  
  
  • Calculation of accruals and prepaid amortization
  
  
  • Knowledge of PR processes and accruals/PR taxes
  
  
  
  


• Software skills:
  
  
  
  • Strong Excel skills MUST have experience with pivot tables and V-lookups
  
  
  • Microsoft Office/Outlook
  
  
  • McKesson/AllScripts experience beneficial
  
  
  
  

• Ability to work well independently and under deadlines


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Self-disciplined with strong time management skills
