Electrician Technician
Join our dedicated Maintenance team working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, where you will help resolve electrical issues across the university campus. While a license is not required, your ability to diagnose electrical problems and determine whether they can be fixed in-house or require a licensed sub-contractor will be crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Execute scheduled assignments, work requests, and projects promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward all stakeholders.
- Anticipate and respond effectively to customer needs.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, Ethernet and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Research and specify repair parts using manuals and computer sources.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize reliability and value.
Essential Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints and interpret specifications.
- Electrical troubleshooting and wiring expertise.
- Competency in using multimeters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding and application of industry standards for installation, repairs, and safety.
- Mechanically inclined with plumbing skills.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
