Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed corrugating machinery, including printing presses, die cutting, flexogluing, and packaging systems such as Gopfert or Evolve printing. The role involves preventive maintenance on machinery, utilizing blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting, and using hand and power tools, including volt meters and electrical testing tools, to complete repairs. General building maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical panels and machinery installation are also key responsibilities, alongside PLC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on high-speed corrugating machinery.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, including oiling, lubricating, and greasing parts.
  • Utilize blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Use hand and power tools, including volt meters and electrical testing tools, for repairs.
  • Carry out general building maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical panels and install machinery.
  • Perform PLC troubleshooting.

Essential Skills:

  • 10+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • 5+ years of experience with automation equipment and PLCs.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical panels.
  • Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot to root cause.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Trade schooling is preferred.
  • Experience with motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, VFD, and corrugating equipment.

Work Environment:

Work in a very clean and organized facility with ample open space, although the environment is not temperature controlled. The maintenance team will be required to work overtime, often on Saturdays, particularly as the facility is built out. There is currently one opening on the 2nd shift.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
