Pay From: $24 per hour
MUST:
Experienced Dental Assistant - Prosthodontics
2 plus years of current experience as a Dental Assistant - Prosthodontics
Must be X-Ray certified in Maryland
Must have a current BLS/CPR certification
Must have strong implant experience
Must have strong experience with taking impression
Must have experience with working with EMR
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Expanded function certified is highly preferred
DUTIES:
Dental Assistant - Prosthodontics Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Provides assistance to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon and other providers within the division for a variety of treatment procedures.
Assists in the outpatient clinic and operating room settings
Obtains patient's medical history and takes vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse
Helps patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
Provides patient education regarding treatments and post op care
Develops and processes dental radiographs (x-rays), under supervision of licensed provider
Obtains digital intra-oral impressions and when necessary alginates impressions under supervision of licensed provider
Prepares and sterilizes instruments and equipment
Can be assigned duties specific to other dental specialties
Performs office management tasks and clerical duties as required (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering telephone calls, billing, and ordering supplies)
Performs other duties as assigned.
