Job Summary

The Collections Manager is a full-time role responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams (including Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers) to maximize reimbursements. Responsibilities include managing denials, preparing appeals, and ensuring reimbursements align with AIS contracted payors. The Manager will conduct quality reviews, identify training needs, and assist in documenting policies and procedures. The role oversees collections processes for TDD services, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, and appeals, and resolves billing-related issues with insurers or other responsible parties. Education And Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required. Home Infusion and Intrathecal Pain Management experience preferred. 3-5 years Revenue Cycle Management experience required. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Oversee the operations of the collections department, including contract analysis, accounts receivable, denials, claims monitoring, adjustments, appeals, and staff productivity and quality. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all collection and billing processes. Maintain contact with other departments to obtain patient or insurance information needed for claims payment. Prepare, analyze, and distribute bi-weekly progress reports, monthly and/or quarterly scorecards, and other billing/financial reports as assigned. Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates and company policies; monitor and improve efficiency of collection and billing operations. Participate in developing and implementing operating policies and procedures; analyze trends and adjust staffing and policies as needed. Supervise collection staff, including work allocation, training, and ensuring peak productivity in both in-office and remote settings. Coordinate staff time off to maintain daily operations; maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, metric quantities, infusion supplies, and a broad range of insurance plans, medical terminology, billing procedures, government regulations, and medical codes. Share knowledge with staff and work as a team; interact positively with others. Conduct hiring, scheduling, time and attendance reviews; perform regular 1:1s, team meetings, performance management, and disciplinary actions as necessary. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements

Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions and their integration. Ability to evaluate complex situations and advise in accordance with laws and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills; ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with internal and external stakeholders. Strong work ethic with integrity and credibility; ability to handle sensitive material and HIPAA requirements. Competence with ICD-9/ICD-10 and medical terminology. Ability to lead a diverse department in a changing environment; effective communication with patients, physicians, and coworkers. Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow through; able to supervise and train staff, manage schedules, and meet timelines. Ability to work with problems involving multiple variables; make independent decisions when necessary; maintain professional relationships with staff and external parties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Travel up to 25%. Steps To Apply
