Overview
AVP, Strategic Relationship Manager at Voya Financial. This role is 100% remote with a travel requirement of 25 – 40% of time. The Large Market Relationship Manager in the Client Relationship Wealth team has accountability for client satisfaction, retention, and profitable growth for a book of business ($500m+) as well as sales support for new business. The individual will execute on the Wealth Solutions client engagement and service strategy, focused on retaining customers, and driving cross-serve strategies across a complete array of Voya solutions that support achieving better outcomes for our customers and their participants. The person will manage between 8-10 clients across corporate and Tax Exempt retirement clients. Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Meet with clients regularly to develop trust-based relationships within client organizations, including Senior Executives, Treasury, Human Resources and Benefits. Attend Plan Investment and Administrative Committees. Understand the client’s organizational structures, industry and business drivers. Develop relationships with outside consultants and other client service providers. Strategic Account Management: Use consultative engagement to understand clients’ labor and benefits strategies. Analyze plan data and industry trends and develop a strategic plan of plan design, product and participant engagement solutions. Lead Voya’s cross-functional service team to execute against the plan. Client Growth: Identify business opportunities for organic growth and cross-sale of other Voya products. Develop, position, close and implement these opportunities and participate in the sale of new 401(k) business. Client Retention and Contract Negotiations: Ensure client retention and manage RFIs, RFPs, and benchmarking. Negotiate contracts, pricing strategy, service level agreements, and prepare/execute contracts and SLAs. Business Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert and senior contributor to management, mentor junior team members to ensure client satisfaction. Qualifications
10 – 15 years of Retirement Industry Experience Strong client management experience and skills Deep technical knowledge of plan design features for 401(k) and non-qualified plans, legal and regulatory frameworks, and industry trends In-depth knowledge of financial products and services, preferably within institutional retirement services Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong consultative and negotiation skills Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Industry certifications and FINRA licensing preferred Other Details

Compensation: The annual base salary range shown reflects the expected hiring range for this position in the listed locations. Actual compensation offered may vary.
