What the opportunity is

We innovate with SAP to co-create more innovative answers, drawing on our integrated competencies in tax, assurance, transactions, and risk, as well as our work in implementing SAP. Together, we help clients provide better outcomes and long-lasting results, from strategy to execution. As a Senior Manager in our Technology practice, you will engage with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and ensure that implemented technology solutions meet those requirements. You will collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

Leading large-scale SAP client engagements or work streams. Supervising the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) solutions, including Sales Order Management, ATP, Shipping, Credit Management, Pricing, Billing and more.

Overseeing program/project management and ensuring engagement economics are met.

Developing resource plans and budgets for complex engagements.

Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and strong business acumen in Order-to-Cash and related domains such as Supply Chain (Planning, Manufacturing, Transportation Management, Extended Warehouse Management), Finance and Procurement. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business such as S/4HANA with Rise, BTP clean core concept and SAP AI business scenarios.

Understanding the impact of master data and hierarchies on the Order-to-Cash process and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic solutions.

Consistently delivering quality client services, monitoring progress, managing risk, and keeping key stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.

Leading client workshops and meetings to collect and understand user stories, and establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.

Leading and inspiring diverse teams by coaching, fostering an innovative and inclusive environment, mentoring junior consultants, and generating new business opportunities. Understanding EY and its service lines to actively assess/present ways to serve clients.

Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks across EY practices to serve client needs.

Encouraging and supporting the professional development of team members through training, workshops, and career advancement opportunities.

Skills And Attributes For Success To thrive in this role, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional results. On engagements, you will work with key stakeholders to understand their needs, initiate requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, and complete workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into business solutions and complete configurations/integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.

Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology business requirements definition.

Proven ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios.

Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Typically, 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.

At least eight years of experience working within SAP Order-to-Cash; deep functional and technical experience in Sales and Distribution (SD) modules in SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC, with the ability to design, solution, configure, implement, and document complex WRICEF objects.

Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.

Proven ability to lead client relationships and internal teams, with strong project management expertise (e.g., SAP Activate Methodology) and a track record of delivering SAP projects and managing project-based teams.

Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, and prior consulting experience relevant to industry-specific finance and technology functions.

Skills in training design and delivery.

Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies.

Willingness to travel; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience in leading teams and managing change effectively.

Prior consulting industry experience.

SAP certification(s).

A knack for building and managing client relationships.

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $203,900 to $441,300. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and paid time off options.

Hybrid model: most client-serving roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over a project or year.
