Overview Director - HR Technology & Strategic Initiatives role at Methodist Health System. The director is responsible for identifying innovative ways to elevate the Human Resources operating model using technology as an enabler, deploying a consumer-centric approach, and participating in HR strategic planning, budgeting and resource coordination to develop cost-effective, forward-thinking HR strategies to meet evolving healthcare consumer needs. This position ensures continuity and successful delivery of HR technology services to team members, contractors and candidates.

Responsibilities

Assess, develop, recommend and implement industry-leading Human Resources strategies by deploying technology as an enabler to adapt to changing business needs, taking initiatives from ideation to sustainability.

Approach strategic initiatives with a consumer-centric and technology-enabled mindset to optimize service delivery methodologies across HR functions: benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and related areas.

Foster positive, collaborative relationships with system leadership, functional partners, senior management, HR team members and vendors.

Lead cross-functional teams supporting day-to-day activities to support HR technology across multiple functions.

Continuously explore processes and emerging HR market trends to enable the workforce to operate at the top of their license.

Partner with facility leadership to analyze HR procedures, improve processes and leverage HR technology to drive efficiencies.

Build and maintain a strong functional team through recruiting, training, coaching and team development; assess the skills needed to achieve HR strategic objectives.

Negotiate priorities and support requirements with the IT department, functional staff, vendors and others as appropriate to support the HR operating model.

Serve as the HR technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas, ensure data integrity, test system changes, and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Manage HR technology contracts and maintain awareness of vendor plans and their impact on current and future workforce functionality; provide senior management with assessments and business-case information as needed.

Evaluate opportunities to leverage ML, AI, RPA and other emerging technologies when ROI and efficiencies favor HR operating costs.

Maintain awareness of current technology trends with the goal of elevating the HR operating model.

Educational And Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science or related field.

Graduate degree preferred.

Scrum Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Previous Work Experience

8 or more years of Technology, Entrepreneurship, Consulting or Human Resources experience.

3 or more years of leadership experience.

Experience implementing, maintaining and optimizing ERP technologies.

Proven execution of strategic HR transformations and technology innovation in a highly regulated and matrixed healthcare environment.

Demonstrated ongoing impact and positive outcomes driven by technology enablement.

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate alternative solutions cost-effectively.

Ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong understanding of HR processes and data exchange methodologies.

Experience with HR technologies such as Workday, Oracle, INFOR, SAP, and others.

Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.

Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination and dexterity, including the ability to grasp and read application information. The associate may sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
