Overview
Are you an experienced product marketing leader in the Retail and Consumer Goods industry? This role focuses on how technology can solve business problems and how retail and consumer goods companies can innovate and modernize using AWS. The AWS Industry Marketing team drives product strategy, go-to-market motions, and marketing activities to transform industry customers with the broadest portfolio of cloud services and solutions. We develop differentiated positioning and messaging to address industry needs and tell AWS stories that highlight what is possible when building on AWS for specialized use cases. As a senior product marketing manager for the retail and consumer goods (RCG) industry, you will help define and drive messaging and thought leadership content for the vertical. You will deliver customer-centric storytelling across marketing channels to show how our vertical offerings create meaningful, measurable customer impact. You will own marketing activities and presence for large-scale events, product launches, and customer and partner announcements, and develop programs that enable and educate AWS sales and GTM teams about our industry-specific offerings. You will work on a rapidly growing business that has real impact on people's everyday lives. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and how they create business outcomes in the RCG vertical, can translate complex technical concepts into clear messaging and materials, and has experience building scalable mechanisms to deliver results. A proven track record of success in a data-driven product marketing organization is essential, and industry subject-matter expertise is preferred. Key responsibilities Craft and develop compelling stories, content and tools (e.g. presentations, whitepapers, infographics, webinars, customer success stories, product videos) that land the retail and consumer goods proposition Engage with customers and partners to drive advocacy Own content strategy and execution for key channels including website, blog, social, on-network promotion, and emails Plan and execute marketing initiatives at industry events to showcase retail and consumer goods messaging, content, keynotes, and breakout sessions Collaborate with AWS field support teams to maintain internal sales hubs with the latest industry resources, value propositions, and sales enablement content Partner with other marketing teams (e.g., web content, campaigns, demand generation, field teams, and events) to drive and execute global marketing initiatives Continuously measure and optimize product marketing initiatives
Qualifications
6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs Experience leading go-to-market for software or hardware product launches Experience delivering on large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals Experience using data and metrics to drive results and presenting those results to senior leadership Experience communicating results to stakeholders
