Aptive is seeking a Web Content Developer to support internal- and external-facing websites and SharePoint sites for a federal client. This individual will be responsible for identifying areas of modernization and process improvement related to web design and migration; reviewing website content; providing monthly user data reports; and recommending website updates, improvements, and revisions; and more. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of plain language and Section 508 accessibility standards. This is a contingent hire position. This position is currently slated to be on site in Washington, DC. Remote work may be considered at a future date. Travel to support client engagements may be required. The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation is between $100,000 to $111,000. The position offers medical, dental and vision coverage. Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well. Primary Responsibilities

Develop and organize website content based on strategic, technical, aesthetic, and functional criteria provided by the government. Ensure consistency and a professional look for all web design and content, supporting compliance with all client and federal web standards and content delivery goals. Help maintain web governance policies and guidelines describing permissible content and formats for posting on the internet, recommending updates and revisions, as needed. Participate and contribute to the web migration planning and implementation process and support all pre-web migration web design projects including editing pages and uploading new content. Create agency briefs and oversee content creation, ensuring alignment to communication objectives and messaging. Test, monitor, and optimize content to maximize engagement and demand. Identify and resolve accessibility issues. Support efforts to conduct website audits to develop and update existing maps. Identify exiting pages that are obsolete and archive them. Recommend the development of and provide ongoing support for search engine optimization. Develop or update content that incorporates links to relevant content from across websites, based on metadata and subject matter. Design and implement subsites, microsites, webpages, and other features. Minimum Qualifications

4 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, media, or a related field OR 2 years of experience with a master’s degree or higher. Demonstrated ability to write content and edit web pages using plain language. Ability to monitor, review, and respond to web communications services requests. Proven experience setting up, changing, or removing web content manager permissions. Demonstrated ability with SharePoint and external-facing website management platforms. Proven understanding of and ability to implement Section 508 standards. Ability to provide consulting services to federal clients. Proven experience communicating comfortably and effectively with a range of stakeholders both orally and in email. Proven experience maintaining an understanding of current events relating to the client and their work while analyzing and developing appropriate and effective responses to those events. Ability to understand client’s priorities and provide creative ideas and strategic thought to support their mission. Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Ability to manage competing deadlines. Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government. Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships. Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Desired Qualifications
