Responsibilities of the System Administrator include: • Deliver comprehensive support for the deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of cloud-based systems. • Diagnose and resolve issues across applications, operating systems, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof. • Document and escalate problems to appropriate stakeholders such as Amazon/C2S, NGA-ESC, and other relevant leads. • Facilitate escalation processes and provide timely status updates to agency leadership and internal stakeholders. • Install and configure operating systems and application software as required. • Identify and remediate hardware and software issues, including those affecting system performance, connectivity, and application functionality. • Maintain and optimize network components, implementing system enhancements to improve reliability, security, and performance. • Integrate emerging technologies into existing environments, supporting system transitions and migrations. • Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Elasticsearch Kibana, AWS CloudWatch, and other dashboarding platforms.

Qualifications for the System Administrator include: • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience • Provided AWS technical support and troubleshooting for NGA users, including EC2 access via SSH and S3 policy updates. • Managed IAM users, roles, policies, and rotated credentials; created SNS topics and maintained secure access controls. • Monitored systems and data pipelines using Kibana, CloudWatch, and Elasticsearch. • Administered Linux accounts via LDAP and supported cluster lifecycle for reliability and scalability. • Developed and maintained internal tools and applications across AWS infrastructure, including EKS/ECS container platforms. • Diagnosed and resolved network, DNS, and storage issues; recommended improvements for cost and performance. • Built and supported CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins; contributed to Terraform deployments. • Collaborated across security, development, and operations teams; participated in Agile workflows and on-call rotations. • Mentored team members and led daily technical efforts with minimal supervision. • Skilled in Python scripting, RESTful APIs, and cloud automation using CloudFormation (YAML/JSON). • Experienced with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and Git-based workflows. • Must have an Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Compensation for the System Administrator includes: • Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 depending on experience • Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
