We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Medicare Advantage audits and operational workflows through data analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to meaningful projects that improve healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into actionable requirements for projects of varying complexity.
• Manage data movement and medical record handling using the Coding Workbench audit tool to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain Excel workbooks to support escalations, reconcile data, and align with operational workflows.
• Synthesize data from multiple sources to create effective dashboards and recommendations for leadership.
• Coordinate documentation preparation and approvals for submissions, ensuring compliance with audit standards and deadlines.
• Partner with IT, vendors, and analytics teams to keep audits on track and resolve any roadblocks.
• Provide data-driven insights to enhance operational workflows and drive continuous improvement.
• Train and guide team members on tools, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for audit processes, workflows, and data tracking.
• Support ad hoc tasks and onsite meetings as needed to address project requirements.• Proven experience in business analysis, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data reconciliation and analysis.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and tools, especially in a Medicare Advantage context.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation to support leadership decision-making.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and coding standards is a plus.
