The VA Loma Linda Health Care System is seeking a Compassionate, Mission Oriented Vascular Surgeon to serve our Veterans in Loma Linda, CA

The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is actively recruiting a Vascular Surgeon to care for our Veterans, America s Heroes . This exciting opportunity provides a wide range of open and endovascular surgeries, including but not limited to, carotid endarterectomy, aortic aneurysm repair, and arterial bypass grafting. The duties include but are not limited to:

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with vascular diseases.
  • Perform a wide range of open and endovascular surgeries, including but not limited to, carotid endarterectomy, aortic aneurysm repair, arterial bypass grafting, and angioplasty.
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and manage perioperative care.
  • Interpret non-invasive vascular laboratory studies.
  • Utilize diagnostic modalities such as duplex ultrasound, CT angiography, MR angiography, and conventional angiography.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and updated medical records in compliance with VA policies.
  • Participate in service level and hospital committees as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting body standards.

Educational Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and training to medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain current knowledge in the field of vascular surgery.
  • Engage in teaching activities such as lectures, seminars, and bedside teaching.

Research:

  • Participate in or lead clinical research projects related to vascular surgery.
  • Contribute to scholarly publications and presentations at professional meetings.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with innovations and advancements in vascular surgery.
  • Participate in professional organizations and attend relevant conferences and workshops.

Work Schedule: 40 hour compressed tour, plus call

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.


Preferred Experience: Board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery. Candidate must have completed a 2 year ACGME accredited vascular surgery fellowship training or a 5 year ACGME accredited vascular surgery residency. Strong clinical and surgical proficiency in both open and endovascular procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to providing patient/veteran-centric, high-quality care.

We Offer the following:

Competitive salary Range : Annual salary range $350,000-$375,000.

Performance awards : Receive up to $15,000 in additional annual performance pay.
