Warehouse Associate – Ryder System, Inc. (Franklin, IN)

Ryder is immediately hiring a Temporary Full Time Warehouse Associate in Franklin, Indiana.

  • Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Second Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Product handling includes HVAC products with equipment such as RF scanner. Safety gear is provided and state‑of‑the‑art equipment is used in a safe, caring environment.

We offer weekly pay and a fast-paced warehouse environment with opportunities across Ryder’s distribution network.

Important: Some positions may require additional screening (employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, background requirements) depending on the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure all scanning is completed correctly
  • Assist training of dock employees on new procedures
  • Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and perform housekeeping
  • Perform picking and packing duties and check for product or container damage
  • Perform tasks per location policies and procedures; handle materials within related transactions
  • Move materials with associated physical/logical transactions as required
  • Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations
  • Perform general housekeeping for the assigned area
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and basic maintenance (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues)
  • May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line) – intermediate preferred
  • Powered industrial truck certification
  • Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and instruction
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into WMS systems
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible, fast-paced, self-driven, and highly organized with good time management
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
