Job Title: Associate Data Analyst
Location: Reston, VA and East Coast preferred but will consider remote applicants (must reside in the USA)
Note: Candidates located within commutable distance to an office location (Portland-OR, Evansville-IN, New York-NY, or Reston-VA) are required to report in-person 2x a week.
What You’ll Do
- Extracts, transforms and analyzes data
- Owns discrete research tasks
- Interprets data and reports key findings to internal and external clients
- Assists in the development of automating and streamlining custom work using ETL software and database query tools
- Works with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Performs QA checks on custom work created by team
- Troubleshoots data collection issues
- Writes complex SQL
- Responsible for established and recurring custom analysis projects
- Escalates issues when appropriate
- Manages time appropriately in order to meet internal and external deadlines
- Documents report production and quality control processes
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Decision Sciences, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 0-2+ years of professional experience
- Proficient in statistical software (i.e. SQL), relational databases and MS Office Suite
- Uses database query tools and ELT software (SQL, Python, Alteryx, Qlik, etc.)
- Experience analyzing data sets
- Strong analytic, statistical and quantitative skills
- Compensation: $65,000-$75,000; Commensurate with experience
