Overview
We are seeking a Lead Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end close, and maintaining effective accounting processes. This role will also ensure that all accounting and reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant with company policies and government regulations.
Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Perform cost accounting activities, including tracking and analyzing production costs, standard costs, and inventory valuations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a focus on cost variances and operational efficiency.
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting and cost reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Masters degree and/or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience within manufacturing.
- Must have experience in cost accounting.
