Beck Ventures has been a fixture in Dallas for over 40 years investing in the real estate, energy, technology, and financial services sectors. Most recently the group has been instrumental in developing various large-scale mixed-use communities in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic staff accountant to join our growing accounting team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounts payable, account reconciliation, as well as preparing and reviewing the general ledger journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
• Process and manage Accounts Payable transactions.
• Code and approve invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address inquiries.
• Ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and company requirements.
• Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, required
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with MRI Software, a plus
