NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Teacher Veterinarian Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS: The Lawrence County CTC is currently accepting applications for Teacher Veterinarian Assistant Associates or Bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field preferred Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) highly preferred Minimum of 4 years or 10,000 hours of recent, practical experience as a veterinarian assistant in a clinical setting (e.g., small animal practice, emergency clinic, specialty hospital) Prior teaching or training experience is a significant plus,
but not required if you have strong communication and presentation skills Thorough knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, animal anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, surgical assisting, laboratory procedures, animal restraint, and client communication Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds Proficiency with educational technology and relevant software.
SALARY: per the collective bargaining agreement
