Vine Projects is a boutique architectural design practice based in San Francisco, working on residential and commercial projects regionally and nationally. Position Overview
We are excited to offer a new Junior Designer role at Vine Projects, reporting directly to the Design Director. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, offering autonomy, growth, and the opportunity to work on projects locally and around the country.
The Junior Designer position at Vine Projects is a key contributor to the design team, working across all phases of the firm’s projects, under supervision of the Design Director. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is excited to be part of an ambitious young practice and contribute to its growth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Principal, Design Director, and other members of the design team with various design and administrative tasks related to all phases of the firm’s projects, from initial planning through project completion
Contribute to the production, organization and coordination of design drawings under supervision of the Design Director
Produce 2D drawings, renderings, 3D views, collages, and other visualizations to develop a project’s design using Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite
Produce presentation materials for client meetings in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Slides
Produce 3D models in Rhino and build physical models
Assist the design team with product sourcing and researching products, finishes, materials, fabrics, and furniture
Assist the Principal and Design Director on precedent research, and FF&E specifications
Assist with the production of drawings sets, under the supervision of the Design Director
Assist with project research tasks including code, zoning, and site research
Attend client meetings as requested by Principal and Design Director
Help maintain all project-related information in electronic folders (e.g., Dropbox), and in sample bins/client trays
Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the studio office and samples library
Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
M.Arch, B.Arch, or BA in architecture or interior design with relevant professional experience required
A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience at an architecture or interior design firm working on high-end residential or commercial projects
Expert technical skill in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator), and rendering software such as Enscape
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Docs + Slides required
Expert skill in physical model making is preferred
Curiosity to learn new technologies is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
Must be detail-oriented and organized in all drawings, paperwork, and data management
Resourceful, flexible, dependable; ability to both take direction and work effectively independently
A team player with an ability to work within a small collaborative team and proactively create harmonious and professional relationships
An interest in furniture and art is helpful but not required

Benefits Package
Vine Projects is committed to providing a strong benefits package to complement compensation. In general, benefit eligibility begins at 30 hours weekly. Eligibility for all benefits begin at hire except where noted differently below.
Our package includes:
Competitive compensation commensurate with equivalent positions in San Francisco.
The hiring range for this role is $65,000-$75,000.
15 days PTO for vacation, personal, and sick days
10 paid holidays

Work from home optional on Fridays
