Job Description Title: Maintenance Technician Classification: Non-exempt/Hourly Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Location: St. Charles, MO (MRP) Date posted: 9/3/25 Job Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with mechanical experience to join our team at our Missouri Research Park facility in St. Charles, MO. The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance work on our carbon fiber production machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and safety of our operations. This is an evening position with four 10-hour shifts, scheduled Wednesday Saturday. Zoltek does not hire individuals who require sponsorship for employment eligibility in the U.S. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Install, maintain and repair single and multi-stage pumps, motors, drives, ovens, furnaces, bearings and pipe systems Remove and install mechanical seals Align pumps using dial indicator method and other precision tools Work on and troubleshoot industrial knitters and textile equipment Make confined space entry in furnaces, replace bearings on equipment, remove and install gear boxes Fit pipes, conduct electrical repair, fabricate equipment Ability to learn single and 3-phase electrical systems Ability to learn troubleshooting of 480v VFD controllers, overloads, contactors, circuit breakers, limit switches, conveyors, etc Enter data into CMMS document system as required. Keep equipment and work area clean, safe and organized Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers Perform other duties as required Qualifications: High School Diploma required, related Certification or associate's degree from a college or technical school desired Min. 3 years of experience in plant maintenance in a manufacturing environment Strong aptitude for mechanical tasks and equipment handling. Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Structure welding (stick / SMAW welding) training and experience a plus Demonstrates responsibility in promoting safety, ethics, and collaboration in the workplace.
