Description

To be able to weld weldment with various types of applications according to company and /or customers specifications.

* Weld details according to company and/or customer specifications determined by supervisor.

* Service shop floor welding requests in a timely manner.

* Keep an updated materials and supply inventory.

* Perform maintenance on equipment or machinery as required. Inform supervisor if equipment or machinery fails or requires repairs beyond capabilities.

* Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. * Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or have a GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manages four subordinate Team Leaders who supervise a total of 14 to 20 employees in the Manufacturing department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Information

Three Welders needed for NIGHT SHIFT at KMC, 6833 Center Dr Sterling Heights, MI 48312. Shift begins at 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM (up to the candidate). Shift ends at 2:00 AM. Assignment is ongoing with no specific end date.
