We are looking for a dedicated and highly organized Senior Executive Assistant to support our Vice President of AWS Legal, who heads our global legal team serving Amazon Web Services. Your role will be instrumental in providing top-notch administrative support and fostering relationships with key internal executives and stakeholders, all while contributing to our mission of facilitating innovation within AWS.
This position requires a candidate who thrives in fast-paced environments, showcasing exceptional flexibility and adaptability alongside strategic thinking, operational excellence, and proactive problem-solving skills. You should be skilled in creating, planning, and executing projects from inception to completion, effortlessly managing complex tasks and shifting priorities with precision and ease. This position requires on-site presence five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively support the Vice President of AWS Legal with effective collaboration and partnership with the Administrative Community, particularly in complex calendar management tasks.
Act as a strategic business partner to ensure thoughtful support through our yearly organizational planning cycles.
Field inquiries by connecting with the appropriate resources or teams to provide effective resolutions.
Organize and facilitate recurring staff meetings, including preparing agendas, documentation, and follow-up actions.
Manage logistics for quarterly all-hands meetings and Associate General Counsel sessions.
Take ownership of space management initiatives, including team space administration, moves, and re-configurations.
Foster employee engagement through team events, organizational celebrations, and morale-boosting activities.
Maintain a strong executive presence and reliable desk coverage to support time-sensitive issues.
Assist in tracking headcount, reporting, and handling open requisitions as needed.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience as an executive assistant.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications.
Experience coordinating domestic or international travel.
Expertise in managing C-level executive calendars.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in providing senior executive support with progressive responsibilities over the years.
Ability to independently prioritize work, resolve issues, meet deadlines, and seek feedback from leadership, distinguishing between urgent and non-urgent matters.
Experience working in a matrixed organization.

Evident project ownership with consistent delivery and exceptional attention to detail.

Strong professionalism and composed under pressure.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and OneNote) and familiarity with Concur, Roster, and Asana.
A desire to collaborate and tackle ambiguous tasks.
High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

The compensation for this position reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this role ranges from $88,800/year to $176,000/year, dependent on market location and individual qualifications. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
