Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Chesapeake, VA. This role involves working in a warehouse as well as outside in the pipe yard. Most of the product you will be working with is outside and requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.

Job Details

Starting pay rate at $20 and may be higher based on experience.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with some overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate both a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
• Perform backup duties at the counter, such as maintaining the area and assisting as needed.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, performing duties in all weather conditions.
• Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
• Effectively receive and store inventory.

Qualifications

• Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift operator experience is preferred.
• Ability to carry objects up to 50 lbs. by hand and 50 lbs. or more using equipment.
• Valid state-issued license is required.

Pay Range: $17.41 - $26.11. This range is for budgeting purposes and may vary by location and local wage requirements. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
