Construction Estimator – Commercial General Contractor

Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor in Columbus, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in commercial construction estimating who thrives on accuracy, analysis, and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors to develop accurate and competitive bids.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain databases of historical costs and industry pricing trends to inform estimates.
• Assist in preconstruction planning and support decision-making for project budgets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and methods.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage, or similar) preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
