Job Description
Hoefer Welker has an opening for a Project Manager, reporting to the Principal-In-Charge, with specific experience in the Healthcare market sector. Key responsibilities include project management, planning and design, design team leadership, client and consultant coordination, and budget, scope, and schedule compliance. Applicants should have a thorough understanding of design requirements, codes, standards, and current trends.
- Lead and communicate with subcontractors and vendors for the successful execution and delivery of projects.
- Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team, while providing leadership, including professional development and mentoring of staff.
- Assist senior management in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, scope of services, and consultant contracts.
- Consult with clients to determine functional and special requirements, and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Provide complete and timely communication of project information between clients, internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project details and critical issues are addressed at all levels of contract administration.
- Manage projects using Deltek Vision tools; complete work plans including budget, scope, schedule, fees, costs, and additional services.
- Assist in preparing project presentations and conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions with clients and consultants.
- Review documents for adherence to building and accessibility codes, ensuring project documentation and contracts comply with Hoefer Welker standards.
- Ensure construction documents adhere to design intent and maintain financial profitability.
- Initiate and adhere to the Quality Assurance Program throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify new business opportunities, develop current client relationships, and participate in marketing and business development activities, including fee proposal development.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and agencies.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience; Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in architectural project management across various phases. Experience in design-build and developer-driven projects is preferred. Healthcare project experience is required.
Certifications/Registration
- Architectural registration with a current license; NCARB registration preferred. LEED Green Associate accreditation is desired.
- Valid motor vehicle operators license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle for work.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Revit, NewForma, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus. Must possess excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team. Must be detail-oriented, with strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, and material application.
The following skills are required: effective communication and leadership, proven problem-solving abilities, and strong knowledge of architectural building systems and sustainability.
