Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to assist in the development and implementation of lesson plans, provide individualized support to students, and promote an inclusive atmosphere for all learners. This role is essential in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and organizing learning activities.
• Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs.
• Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Engage with students during lessons, facilitating group activities and encouraging participation.
• Provide care and supervision during breaks, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
• Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
• Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and any concerns.

Skills

• First aid certification is preferred to ensure student safety.
• Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
• Background in early childhood education or preschool experience is beneficial for understanding developmental milestones.
• Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques are essential for maintaining a conducive learning environment.
• Experience working with children through childcare, daycare, nannying, or babysitting roles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively support students' growth and learning needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
