Enterprise Architect (Hospitality Solutions) role at Sabre Corporation. Note: TPG Capital recently acquired Hospitality Solutions. Sabre is working with TPG to separate Hospitality Solutions from Sabre. You will be employed by a Sabre legal entity but support the Hospitality Solutions business, which is now owned by TPG. Hospitality Solutions is a global leader in hospitality technology powering over 40,000 properties across 174 countries. We deliver integrated platforms for distribution, reservations, retailing, and guest experience to both renowned hotel brands and independent properties worldwide. Responsibilities Architectural Vision & Ownership: Lead, own, and drive the architecture and design of core software systems, establishing the technical direction and ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and extensible.
Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical and operational leader for cloud-native services, distributed systems, and modern development practices. Set the technical path for teams, mentor engineers, and conduct training.
Hands-On Development: Be able and willing to spend time actively developing key components, creating scaffolding, and contributing code to set the standard for quality and performance.
Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define short- and long-term roadmaps, shaping business direction and driving non-functional requirements.
Governance & Quality: Establish structures and processes to ensure high quality, reliability, and security of deliverables. Drive code and design reviews and provide architectural governance.
Operational Excellence: Act as a technical escalation point for production issues, diagnose system failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
External & Internal Representation: Represent multiple technology domains internally and advocate for Hospitality Solutions in external forums and technical communities.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Core Experience: Extensive hands-on experience architecting and building large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead technically in a senior, non-managerial role.
System Integrations: Expertise in integrations and inter-system interactions.
Cloud & Technology: Deep understanding of cloud architecture with experience in GCP (other clouds acceptable); expertise in Cloud-Native development, Kubernetes, and containerization; experience with SOA and microservices; solid experience with large-scale RDBMS and NoSQL stores.
AI & Emerging Tech: Experience with Google AI platform, pre-trained models, and development of custom ML solutions; OpenAI/Azure/AWS experience acceptable; experience with Generative AI and LLMs (e.g., Gemini); experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
AI Development Accelerators: Familiarity with generative AI-powered code assistance tools (e.g., Gemini, Copilot).
Software Development: Proficiency in Java or .NET/C#; strong OOP, design patterns, multi-threading, and performance-focused programming; DevOps and IaC on a cloud platform; QA awareness including unit tests, TDD, and performance testing.
Communication & Collaboration: Ability to mediate deep technical discussions and present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
