Director of Business Development Responsibilities
Leads, manages, and mentors team members to align with departmental objectives, coordinate workload, and deliver on client expectations Directs innovative programs, products, and services based on market needs to manage costs, improve outcomes, and enhance member experience Develops the Product Sales strategy and program design for clients and consultants, using data and analytics to support adoption of services and products Collaborates with Sales and Marketing teams to advance enterprise growth by shaping specialty pharmacy strategy, reviewing RFPs, and evaluating contract documentation for alignment with business goals Develops and delivers persuasive, narrative-driven presentations to internal and external stakeholders, articulating value propositions and supporting decisions during finalist presentations Provides consultative expertise to assist clients with strategy formation, data interpretation, and recommendations for program or plan improvements Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED required 8 years' experience including PBM, product development, market strategy, or consultative experience within PBM, specialty pharmacy, or related area 5 years of leadership/supervisory/people management experience Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of payer/PBM economics and understanding of key issues and market levers in the changing US healthcare landscape Ability to anticipate market strategy and manage multiple projects with timelines Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to create and deliver presentations to leaders and subject matter experts Ability to establish trust and credibility and build relationships with stakeholders Strong understanding of the pharmacy supply chain and a track record of strategy and/or sales support Preferred Qualifications
