Exacta Land Surveyors is one of the nation’s premier residential and commercial land surveying companies. Exacta provides services in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Texas. Services include all types of residential, commercial, construction and ALTA/NSPS surveys with a commitment of accurate and timely delivery to our clients. Our surveys support real estate transactions involving buyers and sellers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and real estate agents.
Position Summary Uses surveying equipment including GPS, total stations, and data collectors to assist with the determination of elevations and property boundaries for title surveys and elevation certificates. This work is performed outdoors year-round in various weather conditions. Requires the ability to move in various standing and sitting positions and the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally (with assistance).
Schedule Monday through Friday with some weekends required during seasonal months. Employees start their work day in a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
Self-manage, be responsible, safe, and able to work independently.
Perform duties as assigned by Field Manager to complete projects accurately and on time.
Download and upload survey data to the proper files in the computer network or field data collector.
Mark points of measurement with elevation, station number, or other identifying marks.
Clear brush and trees from line of survey.
Maintain data quality in the field; perform accurate simple calculations as needed.
Maintain equipment and vehicles, ensure proper equipment and supplies are available each morning and return items at end of shift.
Adhere to Exacta’s policies, procedures, and work directives.
Resolve internal/external customer issues promptly and professionally.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, clients, and other parties as it relates to Exacta’s services and business.
Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs safely and professionally.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED.
Two years of job-related experience in surveying preferred.
Valid Driver’s License with driving record meeting insurance requirements.
Ability to perform arithmetic operations and understand algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.
Ability to operate instruments used for survey data collection (total station, data collector, GPS).
Proficient in independent use of job-related software and cloud-based solutions.
