What You’ll Do Lead & Develop a Winning Team – Foster a guest-obsessed culture, recruit, train, and mentor team members, provide continuous feedback, coaching, and performance management; create a positive and engaging work environment Drive Store Performance & Profitability – Execute operational plans to meet sales, labor, and profitability goals; analyze sales, margin, and labor reports; implement marketing strategies to boost sales; monitor inventory, cash handling, and store expenses Ensure High Standards in Food & Safety – Uphold safety and sanitation standards; conduct regular quality checks; train and enforce compliance with food handling, safety regulations, and policies Maintain a Clean & Organized Store – Ensure store cleanliness, address maintenance and vendor relations, oversee scheduling and payroll to ensure proper staffing What We’re Looking For 5+ years of retail, food service, or restaurant management experience (high-volume preferred) Strong leadership, coaching and team-building skills Ability to analyze business metrics and make data-driven decisions Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting Knowledge of labor laws and staffing best practices Must-Haves for This Role High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification (and alcohol server permit, if required) Fueled by Growth, Driven by You At RaceTrac, our people make the difference. Responsibilities Responsibilities cover leadership, food, cleanliness, talent development, and driving store success, including: Lead and develop a friendly, guest-focused environment; engage in conflict management and maintain professional relationships with co-workers, direct reports, guests, and vendors Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented store culture; address guest concerns promptly Execute guest transactions efficiently and suggest complementary products Drive food service excellence; ensure product quality, availability, and clean preparation areas and equipment Maintain store cleanliness; comply with safety regulations; manage shift duties and brand presentation Demonstrate RaceTrac core values and leadership qualities; coach, train, and assess direct reports Strategically manage inventory, analyze performance data, and pursue operational improvements Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely deliveries; communicate with all team members Coach, mentor, and develop store team; ensure adherence to budgets and cost trends; manage staffing, interviews, and hiring decisions Ensure policy adherence, licenses, and regulatory requirements; monitor staff progression and payroll considerations Qualifications Proven successful retail management experience preferred Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments preferred All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment with RaceTrac without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
