Ana Williamson Architect is seeking a Project Manager for its Menlo Park, CA location. This is a full-time position with responsibilities spanning client engagement, project documentation, consultant communications, and collaboration with Principal and senior staff. The practice focuses on custom single-family residential projects and emphasizes collaborative creativity in bringing sketches to reality. With many exciting projects in the queue, the firm seeks a creative, resourceful Project Manager to lead 3-4 projects and contribute to the practice as a project leader. The role involves working with a small, passionate team and opportunities to impact the practice. Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the Principal and staff to lead both new construction and residential remodels Take initiative, oversee, and work with small teams to define and meet deadlines, budgets, and project design goals Lead project correspondence, including coordination with clients, AHJ, consultants, and contractors Lead production of the BIM model, as-built drawings, presentation drawings/renderings/physical models, and permit/construction drawings Engage in quality assurance/quality control for project deliverables and maintain/develop office standards Lead research of codes, materials, and new construction methods Assist principal in marketing and promotional strategies, including client interviews, proposal development, and networking/outreach Help oversee staffing and coordinate with other project managers to ensure schedules are met Mentor junior team members Ability to multi-task and manage 3-4 projects in a fast-paced office environment Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in an architecture office, with a minimum of 3 years on residential projects Licensed architect in CA (or currently engaged in licensure) Technical knowledge and detailing competency with Type V construction Familiarity with state and local building and planning codes and processes Ability to lead a project from planning through construction Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage small teams Strong written and graphic communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas through sketches ArchiCad proficiency preferred Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Terms Of Employment
Full Time – approximately 40 hours a week with at least 3 days a week in office Ideal candidates to be located near Menlo Park or willing to relocate to the Peninsula Further terms will be spelled out via contract to be signed upon commencing employment but include: compensation commensurate with experience, medical coverage, paid time off, 401K plan with employer match, and support for continuing education and professional exams.
