Schedule and Benefits Schedule:
(7) 12-hour shifts in a two week pay period; typically, 7 days on and 7 days off; rotating days and nights. Final pay is based on experience and region.

Responsibilities
Reports for work well rested and fit for duty. Adheres to the drug and alcohol policy at all times, including FAA requirements regarding medications. Coordinates with flight followers regarding currency, duty time, aircraft, and weather status; confirms NOTAMS; updates weather status as necessary; ensures regulatory requirements for duty day and crew rest are met; debriefs with flight followers as necessary. Responds promptly to all requests for service with safety of flight as the priority. Participates in scheduling flexibility and coverage at base and system-wide. Supports a safety-focused culture and uses appropriate safety channels to report concerns.
Completes all official documentation accurately and timely (payroll, expense reports, training forms, etc.). Maintains postflight records; completes hazard or incident reports as necessary. Maintains familiarity with STAT MedEvac policies and procedures. Provides notice of requested PTO/trade days to ensure schedule coverage. Maintains coverage responsibility for assigned shifts. Selects and uses appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintains fitness for duty and required medical certifications. Reports injuries promptly to a supervisor.
Conducts flights to ensure safe completion; transmits required flight manifest information; adheres to GOM, Op Specs, checklists, and other policy; operates without regulatory violations; exercises PIC emergency authority as required. Maintains competency to perform as PIC, including radios and navigation equipment. Completes checkrides and recurrent training; performs regular instrument approaches when possible. Conducts shift change briefs with crew; ensures currency of training and equipment; maintains flight kits and records; ensures navigation publications are current.
Ensures the aircraft is in airworthy condition: documents maintenance events; performs preflight/postflight inspections; ensures fuel/O2 and cleanliness; maintains aircraft security and storage; mentors newly hired pilots; protects patient privacy per policies. Demonstrates professional conduct with customers and adheres to uniform standards.
Qualifications include 2,000 total flight hours; 1,500 total helicopter flight hours; 1,000 total PIC helicopter flight hours; 200 night hours (at least 100 unaided); 100 instrument hours; 500 turbine hours. Pilots with fewer than 2,000 hours may be considered case-by-case for exceptional qualifications.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances Commercial rotorcraft-helicopter certificate with instrument rating required. Current second-class medical, valid state driver’s license. Experience in helicopter EMS transport preferred. Four-year degree with aviation applications preferred. Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot License (CPL) preferred.
