Overview
Project Superintendent - Indo Pacific Region. SLSCO LTD. Location: Project will be located in the Indo-Pacific Region; including but not limited to Hawaii, Philippines, Australia, and Guam. International travel and/or temporary relocation will be required for the duration of the project. SLS is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent interested in international travel to join a fast-growing and dynamic Federal Division that is aggressively pursuing civil infrastructure opportunities across the Indo-Pacific Region with federal clients, such as the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC).
Responsibilities
Serve as Project Superintendent reporting to an experienced Project Manager or Project Executive
Manage and maintain a healthy client relationship while protecting company interests
Manage all construction operations in alignment with the project budget to preserve profitability
Ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications
Ensure safety, quality, and timeliness per the schedule
Manage the efforts of subcontractors and self-performing crews to earn their respect and loyalty
Manage all Field Superintendents assigned to the project and direct their daily activities
Manage site logistics to minimize restrictions and ensure resources are deployed efficiently
Provide oversight and management of the safety program through the Safety Manager
Provide oversight and management of the quality program through the QC Manager
Provide frequent and accurate construction updates to the Project Scheduler
Conduct weekly (daily if needed) construction meetings to identify and resolve open issues
Coordinate directly with design team to resolve urgent construction issues
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are completed fully, accurately, and timely
Maintain the highest levels of professionalism and respect on site
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager or Project Executive
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years as Superintendent or Construction Manager on civil infrastructure projects valued $10M+ (required)
2-year or 4-year degree in construction or engineering related fields (strongly desired)
OSHA 30-hour & EM 385-1-1 (strongly desired)
Experience working on federal projects with DOD/USACE/NAVFAC (strongly desired)
Proficiency with computer and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) (required)
Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing) (required)
Ability to pass background/security checks (required)
Secret or above Security Clearance (strongly desired)
Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting and standing, repetitive motion, sustained visual and mental demands
Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, pulling, and carrying
