What You’ll Do Lead & Develop a Winning Team
– Foster a guest-obsessed culture, recruit, train, and mentor team members, provide continuous feedback and performance management, and create a positive work environment where team members feel valued. Drive Store Performance & Profitability
– Execute operational plans to meet sales, labor, and profitability goals; analyze sales, margin, and labor reports; operationalize marketing strategies; monitor inventory, cash handling, and store expenses. Ensure High Standards in Food & Safety
– Uphold safety and sanitation standards; conduct regular quality checks; train and enforce compliance with food handling, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain a Clean & Organized Store
– Ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing; address maintenance needs and vendor relationships; oversee scheduling and payroll to ensure proper staffing. Building Talent
– Demonstrate RaceTrac’s Core Values; exhibit leadership qualities; lead coaching, training, and assessment of direct reports while adhering to standards. Driving Success
– Direct inventory control and material distribution; review financial statements and performance data; identify operational improvements; manage vendor relationships; communicate with the team; coach and develop staff; ensure risk management and staffing plans; participate in hiring decisions; develop and implement manager development and performance plans; ensure policies and licenses are maintained; monitor budget and cost trends to drive sales and financial health. Qualifications 5+ years of retail, food service, or restaurant management experience (high-volume preferred) Strong leadership, coaching and team-building skills Ability to analyze business metrics and make data-driven decisions Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting Knowledge of labor laws and staffing best practices High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification (and alcohol server permit, if required) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment with RaceTrac without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
