Overview
Residential Counselor (Developmental Disabilities) role at Vinfen. The Residential Counselor provides direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in small group residential or individual living settings. You collaborate with residents, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to build independence or improve quality of life. Responsibilities
Provide direct support to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, household chores, and cooking. Administer medications under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) in line with program protocols. Implement treatment plans and participate in coordinating supports with the care team. Facilitate residents' connection to the community by providing transportation for outings, appointments, and social activities. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury strongly preferred. Strong time management and writing skills. Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid US driver’s license for at least 6 months. CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certification within 150 days of employment. Safety Care training within 90 days of hire. Ability to pass CORI, reference, national fingerprinting, and driving record checks. Pay
