With Postman Insights, our vision is to help all developers more quickly find and fix production issues. Insights reduces mean time to resolution for incidents and API bugs by identifying, root-causing, and reproducing incidents. The Insights agent watches API traffic, uses AI to discover endpoints, and integrates with Request Builder to replay API errors across environments. We are looking for a technical leader to drive scaling efforts for our solution as we mature and roll out to more users. This role focuses on latency, reliability, and scale for a system built on top of a time-series database handling billions of requests weekly. Responsibilities
Collaborate to set technical vision and roadmap based on short-term and long-term goals and product requirements. Provide technical leadership on architecture, balancing business goals, product requirements, and current system realities. De-risk larger projects by leading proofs of concept and measurement efforts. Mentor other engineers on the team and across the company. Lead by example by actively contributing to product and infrastructure work. About You
The ideal candidate has substantial experience with streaming data and SaaS apps and can navigate team and org dynamics to drive impact. Must have: Strong experience with industry standards on streaming data. Experience being on-call for a user-facing application. Track record leading engineers to deliver; impressive portfolio of launched projects. Experience leading projects from conception to results with company-wide impact. Excellent tolerance for chaos and a good sense of humor. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nice-to-have: Experience working on a 0-to-1 product. Experience working on B2B product and/or developer tools. Compensation : The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $250,000 to $290,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. What Else?
