The Opportunity:
As a member of Translational Sciences team Biomarker Assays and Histology Core you will be accountable for development and support of novel immunofluorescence and histology biomarker assays for RVMD RAS(ON) inhibitors. Functioning as a critical contributor to the Biology department and multi-disciplinary research and development project teams you will: Onboard new technology capabilities. Design and manage experiments in-house, related to the development of novel biomarker assays for oncology pathway inhibitors. Analyze and report biomarker data at internal forums. Evaluate new technologies related to biomarker assays. Develop high-quality protocols, optimize experimental workflows and data outputs to maximize efficiency. Keep robust documentation of performed experiments. Comply with internal standard operating procedures and other quality criteria, where necessary. Collaborating extensively within the team and cross-functionally. Required Skills, Experience and Education: M.S. in Cancer Biology/Molecular Biology or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience. Extensive assay development and execution experience in IHC and/or mIF. Results-oriented with a strong track record of research productivity as evidenced, for example, by impactful contributions to drug candidate projects and/or high-quality publications. In-depth understanding of Oncology preclinical disease models and relevant signaling pathways. Rigorous, quantitative and detail-oriented. Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire innovate and contribute in a high energy start-up environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize options, anticipate challenges, and execute on goals as a member of an interdisciplinary team is extremely important. Experience analyzing and interpreting image-based data (eg, HALO, VisioPharm, QuPath). Preferred Skills: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Cancer Biology or related field Experience in spatial transcriptomics and/or pathology experience would be a strong plus An understanding of preclinical to clinical translational concepts would be an advantage This is a contract position that will be employed through a third-party recruiting agency.
