Overview
Johns Hopkins University (JHU) seeks a Vice President of Facilities (VPF) to provide strategic direction and planning for the stewardship of 8.3 million square feet of institutional space across multiple campuses. The VPF reports to the Senior Vice President of Capital Strategy, Real Estate, and Development and leads a high-performing, client-focused Facilities team. Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership for Plant Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Custodial Services, Utilities, Transportation and Parking, and Sustainability. Develop and implement the facilities strategy to support the university's strategic plan, including technology integration and outsourced services where efficiency is enhanced. Lead the office of Sustainability initiatives and drive the facilities decarbonization plan. Collaborate with Capital Projects, Planning, and Finance to deliver high-quality facilities services to the campus community. Navigate Johns Hopkins\' Responsibility Center Management (RCM) model and balance direct, indirect, and informal relationships to achieve goals. Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
Excellent leadership, project management, people management, communication, change management, process innovation, and budgetary skills. Familiarity with various facilities management models for university campuses; ability to select and implement the model that best fits JHU\'s needs. Strong collaboration skills and experience in higher education environments. Experience with in-sourcing and outsourcing decisions and evaluating solutions for institutional needs. Details
