This role provides leadership and oversight to ensure compliance with NERC Operations and Planning (O&P) Standards, supporting reliable Bulk Electric System operation. The position is a key part of AES's NERC Compliance team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Deep understanding of NERC O&P Standards. Knowledge of NERC compliance monitoring and enforcement processes. Clear communication of NERC compliance standards and requirements. Develop and evaluate project plans, goals, and timelines for internal controls across O&P Standards. Coordinate policies, procedures, and record keeping to ensure compliance. Assess compliance concerns and participate in evaluations. Report on NERC O&P compliance status to stakeholders. Deliver NERC compliance training. Partner with IT to automate compliance monitoring and reporting. Provide recommendations on compliance issues. Act as liaison between NERC Compliance and internal teams. Participate in industry groups and conferences. Lead responses to regulatory compliance requests and enforcement actions.

Skills and Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent, with 5+ years of related experience. Experience with transmission and NERC Compliance standards. Experience implementing or maintaining NERC compliance programs. Self-motivated with attention to detail and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Risk management knowledge is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $103,000 to $128,350 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits including health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
