Be responsible for all aspects of hotel operations, day-to-day staff management, and guests. Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards. Handle guest complaints and oversee service recovery process. Manage budget and ensure revenue and guest satisfaction goals are met. Ensure all decisions are in the best interests of the hotel and ownership company. Develop short- and long-term strategic goals for performance improvement. Understand P&L statements and implement impactful strategies. Meet all report deadlines daily, weekly, and at month end. Work closely with the VP of Revenue Management and the VP of Sales to maximize room yield and hotel revenue. Oversee and manage all departments and work closely with department heads daily. Be responsible for occupational health, fire, and life safety. Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others, leading by example. Advocate sound financial decisions to achieve goals, maximize revenue, and profitability. Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. Strive to improve service performance. Communicate clear and consistent messages regarding processes throughout all departments. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and meet customer expectations daily. Identify developmental needs of others and provide coaching, mentoring, or other support to improve knowledge and skills. To be a successful General Manager, you need

Natural instincts and insight for solving unclear issues and problems. Ability to drive revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Be direct yet tactful and considerate of the audience. Speak with clear, professional language; be direct yet tactful. Must be available to days, nights, weekends, and holidays; present a clean, professional appearance. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Vice President of Operations. Hotel management experience required; hospitality degree preferred. Minimum Requirements

To be a successful General Manager, you need to be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. You must be able to read and visually verify information, and perform grasping and manipulating of objects. Move, lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
