Responsibilities
Evaluate emerging issues relevant to the North American energy sector to support client needs. Research and compile public and third-party energy market data (e.g., estimated production volumes, consumption, pipeline flows, and rig counts) to inform market forecasts. Explain and defend the fuel market price forecasts to clients. Conduct due diligence reviews of fuels supply agreements and pipeline transportation service agreements. Advise clients on location-specific infrastructure attributes such as available pipeline capacity, fuels price differentials, and storage services. Assist in the development of market projections and asset valuations. Create consulting work products including Market Consultant’s Reports for utilities, energy development companies, financial institutions, and energy service companies. Work independently and in collaboration with colleagues and managers who are conducting or leading energy market consulting studies. Conduct market research and analysis using proprietary Leidos tools, simulation models, licensed software, and databases; draft reports and presentation materials. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics/statistics, or related field with four or more years of relevant experience in the North American energy industry. Strong knowledge of the US natural gas system. Expertise with Excel for ad hoc data analysis. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff. Excellent analytical, technical writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to manage workload and meet deadlines across concurrent projects. Nice to have
Experience analyzing natural gas commodity supply contracts and natural gas pipeline transportation agreements.
