We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to join our Product + Portfolio Marketing team and lead strategic initiatives with a focus on data lakes and AI as a core product area, with an opportunity to expand. This role ensures our marketing efforts align with the technical content and messaging our customers want and need. Technical Product Marketing Managers stay up to date on market trends, the evolving data and analytics industry, and developments in AI. What You’ll Do
Content Development & Messaging: Create technical collateral specific to data lakes capabilities and ecosystem technologies including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, pitch decks and other customer-facing content. Develop thought leadership that translates complex technical concepts into clear value-based messaging for technical personas. Review and edit materials across the Fivetran product portfolio to ensure technical accuracy with an interest in data lake adoption and AI applications. Customer & Market Insights: Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitors to inform product positioning and messaging for Fivetran use cases, including data lakes and AI. Partner with Product Management to understand product features, capabilities, and customer requirements to create content like how-to guides, demo videos, case studies, and technical whitepapers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, and Sales teams to create campaigns, webinars, and events highlighting data lakes as a component of modern data infrastructure. Work with Partner Marketing to showcase Fivetran’s integrations with data lake solutions and partners through joint initiatives such as webinars and hands-on labs. Technical Expertise: Stay current with trends in data integration, data lakes, AI, deployment models, security, and data governance. Serve as a value engineer providing best practices and examples for integrating Fivetran into organizations’ data stacks and workflows. Thought Leadership: Represent Fivetran as a product subject matter expert at in-person events, presentations, and hands-on labs, and support analyst relations with detailed technical insights focused on data lakes as a key element of the modern data stack. Skills We’re Looking For
3-5 years of experience in product marketing, data engineering, product management, sales engineering, or data/analytics consulting Data industry experience with data engineering, data lakes, open table formats (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg), data warehouses, data catalogs, and related technologies (e.g., SQL, dbt, Python, Spark) Technical aptitude and a desire to learn more about modern data infrastructure and tools, especially related to data lakes and analytics Experience partnering with multiple teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Enablement) to deliver impactful results Strong in-person, virtual, and written communication adaptable to different technical personas Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines Ability to understand the needs of data engineers, data scientists, data architects, and other technical stakeholders Location & Employment Type Full-time position based in Denver, CO with a hybrid work model (two days in the office each week).
