New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seeks an experienced and innovative financial leader to serve as its next Senior Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer (SVP-CFO). This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of NJIT by guiding its financial strategy, supporting the implementation of a new decentralized budget model, and aligning resources with the ambitious goals of the NJIT Strategic Plan 2030. Responsibilities

Report directly to the President and work with senior academic and administrative leadership and the Board of Trustees to provide strategic advice that supports fiscal health and growth objectives.

Oversee a portfolio of $809 million and an endowment valued at approximately $167 million.

Support and staff the Board of Trustees' Finance and Audit Committee, Foundation Board of Directors Audit and Finance Committee, NJIT Joint Investment Committee, and the University Senate Committee on Finance.

Serve as a strategic partner and communicator within the broader university community, driving an ambitious and forward-looking strategic plan.

Lead change management, advocate for and bolster a suite of university services, motivate colleagues, and manage complex priorities while maintaining momentum.

Provide executive leadership in finance and administration with a track record of developing and achieving strategic goals, preferably in higher education or a similarly complex setting.

Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, collaborative leadership, and commitment to inclusive decision-making, student success, and best practices.

Qualifications

Distinguished senior leadership experience in finance and administration, with a proven ability to drive strategic goals.

Strong change-management capabilities and the ability to advocate for and bolster university services.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of building relationships across diverse constituencies.

Experience in higher education or a similarly complex organizational setting is preferred.

Ability to balance risk and innovation with inclusive decision-making and a focus on student outcomes.

Compensation and How to Apply Compensation Range: $380,000 – $410,000.
