We are seeking a mid-level Oracle Core DBA with strong hands-on experience in Oracle RDBMS (12c/19c), performance tuning, and backup/recovery. Exposure to Oracle APEX development and basic Snowflake data warehousing is a plus. This role requires a proactive individual with strong troubleshooting skills, capable of managing database performance, availability, and security across development, test, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Oracle databases (12c/19c) including installations, upgrades, patching, and configurations. Perform regular health checks, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues using AWR/ASH and SQL tuning. Manage RMAN backup & recovery strategies and implement data guard for high availability. Apply security patches and ensure compliance with database security policies. Automate tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL. Work closely with development teams to optimize SQL and PL/SQL performance. Support Oracle APEX applications (preferred). Assist in integrating and migrating data to/from *Snowflake* (basic working knowledge required). Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for critical incidents. Required Skills
5-8 years of experience as an Oracle Core DBA in enterprise environments. Proficient in Oracle 12c/19c database architecture, ASM, RAC (if applicable), and Data Guard. Expertise in RMAN, performance tuning, and SQL optimization. Experience with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) or other monitoring tools. Strong UNIX/Linux scripting skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
