Gusto is growing our Revenue Business Systems team and looking for a dynamic, visionary business technology developer! You'll design, build, and administer our Salesforce and automation platforms for our Sales, Service, and Marketing teams. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Develop, test and deploy end-to-end solutions on the CRM platform, primarily leveraging Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce. Build and maintain cross-platform applications and automations using languages such as JavaScript, DataWeave, and Python. Lead the project delivery including custom development, integrations, data migration and user acceptance testing. Implement and manage seamless integrations between internal revenue business systems and external applications using REST APIs. Utilize declarative tools, including Flows, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, and Page Layouts, to configure and enhance business platform functionality. Drive medium-sized projects that may be technically complex, organizationally complex and/or require understanding multiple domains. Collaborate with business systems analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective solutions. Enforce coding standards and best practices through rigorous code reviews and structured deployment processes. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues and performance flaws to ensure high availability and efficiency of revenue systems. Here's what we are looking for: Strong knowledge of Apex, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, and LWC. Expertise in integration patterns, APIs, and middleware tools. Deep knowledge and experience with Salesforce's suite of products across all SDLC phases. Good understanding of Salesforce DX, source-driven development using Git/Github or similar version control system, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery as part of DevOps process. Deep expertise with CRM declarative tools and standard functionalities. Strong understanding of business systems security, permissions, and data model management. Excellent problem-solving skills and end-user communication capabilities. Lead by example in building code that is secure, reliable, performant, accessible, and responsive. Own end-to-end execution of the projects they are leading. Work collaboratively with product, design, and data partners across multiple teams to ensure projects achieve desired results. Participate in an on-call roster and respond to reliability, security, and performance incidents. 6+ years of experience building custom solutions on Salesforce. 4+ years of experience integrating business applications using platforms like Mulesoft, Snaplogic, Workato etc and APIs. 2+ years of mentoring and training junior developers and administrators. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect (or equivalent) are highly preferred. BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Math or equivalent practical experience. Passionate about helping small business owners and converting pain points into solutions. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $139,000-155,000 in Denver, $152,000-170,000 in Los Angeles, & most remote locations, and $169,000-189,000 for San Francisco, & New York, and Seattle, and $149,000-167,000 CAD for Toronto. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
