Job Summary
The Class A Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial heavy truck on public roadways and on the construction jobsite in a safe and efficient manner. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction jobsite in a safe manner. The CDL Truck Driver/Equipment Operator must complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent. The employee will work between driving trucks and operating asphalt construction and grading equipment. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operating commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy and FMCSA guidelines - Performing daily maintenance and pre-trip checks - Responsible for cleaning trucks and material from trailer with the use of hand and power tools - Ensuring that the truck and/or equipment is secured at the end of the shift - Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturers guidelines - Performing daily maintenance and safety checks - Cleaning equipment as required Other Duties
