This position involves removing cut parts from large sheets of steel, aluminum, or other metals. The role is repetitive and requires standing for extended periods. Additional tasks include various duties throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities
Remove cut parts from large sheets of metal. Complete basic, routine tasks following detailed instructions. Move inventory or equipment and fill customer orders. Pull material from racks, unload incoming material, and load trucks or customer vehicles. Help maintain the upkeep of the warehouse. Receive and place/return items into stock inventory locations. Pull and assemble orders based on work or shipping orders. Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation. Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using forklifts, side loaders, or cranes. Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences. Conduct spot checks on inventory and complete daily or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material. Report irregularities to a supervisor for direction. Restock material as needed. Occasionally drive a motor vehicle for local deliveries and parts pick-ups. Adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Essential Skills
Experience in forklift operation, production, general labor, and material handling. Skills in picking, packing, general production, order picking, machine operation, shipping and receiving, construction, assembly, loading, packaging, and unloading. Additional Skills & Qualifications
0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience. High School diploma/GED preferred. Valid Driver's License required. Certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment must be obtained. Trade school certification in electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing preferred. Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of mechanics. Working knowledge of electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. Manual dexterity and multilimbed coordination. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Basic measurement and arithmetic skills for calculations and conversions. Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Sound decision-making skills based on knowledge, experience, and judgment. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, internal customers, and vendors.
