Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and able to handle confidential information with professionalism. The position is a temporary hourly position reporting to the VP of Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support HR projects and initiatives including employee photo upload.
  • Assist with HRIS absenteeism testing.
  • Assist with implementation of HRIS recruitment module.
  • Assist with uploading of I-9's in HRIS system.
  • Assist with CompAnalyst maintenance
  • Assist with recruitment process, including resume screening and candidate communication.
  • Assist with Employee Handbook updates
  • Download all employee documents from former HRIS system including resume, application, offer letters.
  • Audit personnel files to ensure documents are in place.
  • Run needed reports from former HRIS system.
  • Help maintain and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Upload to new system.
  • Conduct an I-9 audit as required by GHCO.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities including coordinating distribution of Thanksgiving cards and year end gift.
  • Assist in organizing training sessions and professional development opportunities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite and familiarity with HR software is a plus.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
