Our client, a dynamic company in the technology sector, is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians in optimizing designs, improving processes, and supporting production operations. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing product testing capabilities and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a cutting-edge electronics manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to address challenges and introduce new capabilities in manufacturing and test engineering. Oversee the design and development of test fixtures, software, and systems to ensure reliability and innovation. Lead efforts to implement new testing methods, equipment, and techniques to enhance product testing capabilities. Supervise and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians, fostering continuous growth and high performance. Participate in the development of new products, ensuring timely fabrication and testing of designs. Create and document efficient processes and procedures, including SOPs and travelers. Collaborate with design teams to optimize product design trade-offs, balancing cost, performance, and time to market. Lead failure analysis investigations and collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality. Manage project plans, including resource allocation and schedules, to introduce new processes and technologies. Champion the implementation of new methods, equipment, and technologies to improve operational efficiency. Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Applied Sciences. 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, including test/process engineering and manufacturing support. 2+ years of supervisory or senior engineering experience. Proven expertise in designing and implementing test systems, fixtures, and software. Strong knowledge of test equipment, failure analysis techniques, and process improvement strategies. Nice-to-Have Skills
Graduate degree and previous leadership training. Knowledge of MIL STDs 883, MIL-PRF 38534, and IPC 610. Familiarity with hybrid and PCB manufacturing processes. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and industry best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
